Want to revisit some of the turning points in American history? Arkansas's Civil War battlefields are a must-see for kids and adults alike. For the more mature crowd, wine country has dozens of wineries open for touring and tasting.

If you're looking for a less adventurous getaway, Little Rock is the place to be. The city's museums, restaurants and theaters provide a city atmosphere with the mountains as a backdrop.
