Oakland

Located in the Bay Area, Oakland is often touted as having the best weather in the United States, the perfect ingredient for any vacation. It's known for a culturally diverse population and the recreational activities reflect that. A restaurant district is brimming with ethnic foods and a vibrant Chinatown is at the top of most tourists’ lists.

Like many areas in California, Oakland is home to numerous parks and open space preserves, most notably Joaquin Miller Park and Knowland State Park Arboretum, home to the Oakland Zoo. Once you've had your fill of nature, enjoy the live music at world-famous Yoshi's jazz club or take in a professional sports game. You've got your pick of baseball (the Athletics), basketball (the Warriors) and football (the Raiders).
